How to play Jellycat

Updated October 17, 2026

Jellycat is a single-player browser puzzle. Drop small jelly ears and paws into the bowl, bring matching pieces together and discover larger cats. The game runs in your browser; you do not need an account, installation or payment to play.

Move, aim and release

Tap or press inside the bowl, move left or right, then release to drop. With a keyboard, focus the bowl and use the arrow keys to aim; Space or Enter releases the next piece. A short 430 ms cooldown separates drops, so an extra tap during that interval does not release another jelly.

Follow two paths

Two ears become Milk Pudding; two paws become Strawberry. Matching those cats creates Blueberry Cloud and Peach Blossom. Cloud and Peach are the special mixed pair: together they become Moon Guardian. Two Moon Guardians become Golden Emperor, and two Emperors become the final Onyx Sovereign. Other combinations stay in the bowl.

Keep room under the line

The dashed fill line marks the danger area. A jelly that has entered the bowl and remains above the line for 1.5 seconds ends the round. New falling pieces get a grace period, but a piece blocked at the entrance eventually counts too. Moving a piece back below the line clears its danger timer.

Take a break

Pause freezes the board. Opening the collection also pauses the round, and closing it restores the previous state. Switching to another browser tab pauses play; resume when you return. Restart clears the current board and round score, while keeping your personal best in this browser.
